Fat T’s Foods began as the dream of owner and chef, Tylor Torres, years ago while working a variety of jobs in New Mexico, Colorado, and California.  Being a natural in the kitchen grew to a love of great food and creating those experiences for family and friends, receiving rave reviews.  Returning to his roots in Albuquerque, purchasing an old propane tank and transforming it in to his smoker, The Smokanee”, began his journey to owning his own restaurant, Fat T’s, and serving up the best Texas Style BBQ in New Mexico.  The art of smoking meats for over 16 hours in apple and white oak wood gave life to his first pop up events at local breweries and catering events. While building his catering business, Fat T’s has been featured on local new stations as he continues to support Albuquerque’s first responders and front-line health care workers serving up his BBQ to honor their sacrifices.  The original idea of a food truck soon grew into the brick-and-mortar location, Fat T’s, in Old Town, with a menu incorporating New Mexican flavor and Texas style BBQ.
